Directions to Church Korner House Concerts

Church Korner House Concerts is located conveniently above the Wing Hua II Chinese Restaurant off the Corner of Church Avenue and East 3rd Street in the Kensington section of Brooklyn. We are two blocks from the F train and a short bus ride from the Q train. (take a look at the handy dandy Google Map above for reference.

What is presented here are the basic public transportation and driving directions to get to our apartment. If you need additional directions on how to get to these train lines or streets, please do not hesitate to contact churchkorner@chris-chin.net. We will do our very best to point you here.

Public Transportation

Subway

F Train to Church Avenue. Go out the Church Avenue & McDonald Avenue Exit. When you go through the turnstiles, proceed to the left most exit to the street and get onto Church Avenue. With the Astoria Federal Savings Bank on your left and Denny's Steak Pub on your right, walk two blocks to East 3rd Street. Turn Left at the corner of the Wing Hua II Chinese Restaurant. The entrance door is between the back door of the restaurant, and a liquor store. The door will say "334 E 3rd ST." Ring the lower buzzer for entry.

Subway and Bus

Q Train to Church Avenue. Go out the Church Avenue & E. 18th Street Exit. As soon as you get outside onto the street, there will be a bus stop directly in front of the train station on Church Avenue. Take the B35 Bus towards Sunset Park.

If you catch a Limited Bus, get off at Church Avenue & McDonald Avenue (2nd Stop) and backtrack on Church Avenue. With the Astoria Federal Savings Bank on your left and Denny's Steak Pub on your right, walk 2 blocks to East 3rd Street and turn left at the corner of the Wing Hua II Chinese Restaurant onto East 3rd Street. The entrance door is between the back door of the restaurant, and a liquor store. The door will say "334 E 3rd ST." Ring the lower buzzer for entry.

If you catch a Regular Bus, take the bus 14-15 blocks til you hit Church Avenue and East 3rd Street. The bus stop is one block away from the "International Grocery" store/fruit stand that has a red awning and white lettering. The bus will let you out right in front of the Wing Hua II Chinese Restaurant. Walk down East 3rd Street. The entrance door is between the back door of the restaurant, and a liquor store. The door will say "334 E 3rd ST." Ring the lower buzzer for entry.

Driving Directions

Take the BQE (I-278) to Exit 24: Prospect Expressway (Route 27). Take the Prospect Expressway to Exit 6: Church Avenue West. Once you get off the ramp, turn right at the first light onto Church Avenue. Drive down 3 blocks/lights and Turn Right onto East 3rd Street. Spot the Wing Hua II Chinese Restaurant at the corner of Church and East 3rd. Find Parking on the street. The entrance is on East 3rd between the back door of the restaurant and a liquor store. The door will say "334 E 3rd ST." Ring the lower buzzer for entry.

Please Note: Parking is on the Street Only and you cannot block driveways. There typically is some parking on East 3rd Street between Church Avenue and Ablemarle Road but you may have to drive around other streets to find adequate parking. The surrounding neighborhood is pretty safe.
